![]() There is also some serious insta-love between Morgan and the male lead, Cal. I do think I related more to Morgan when I read this when I was younger so some of these complaints may be part of my own growth as a person but it did frustrate me slightly. I sort of 8make sense because of her sheltered catholic upbringing but that's not that uncommon of a symbol. She also just seems ignorant of certain things like she didn't know what a pentagram was. Morgan, 8the protagonist goes to school in a small town in new york while I went to high school in Atlanta so I know there are differences in experience there but so many things she describes as weird is not weird at my high school, like they act like a nose piercing is really rebellious when so many people I knew in high school had them. Now I'm older than her and that has made a pretty significant difference in reading these. ![]() When I first read this book I was younger than the protagonist, who is 16. ![]() My therapist suggested I have a book I read only before I go to bed so I can prime my brain to be tired when I read it and I thought these books would be good for that. ![]() ![]() I got this whole series from my aunt (all 15 books) a couple of years ago and I read quite a few of them at that time but I never finished the series. ![]()
